Childrens Wilderness Activities
THE WILDERNESS CLUB: Outdoor fun for 8-12 yr olds
Autumn update:
I am able to confirm that the Wilderness Club is now registered with the Devon County Council Scheme, "Don't Stop Me Now". For some children this may mean that they are eligble for funding for a place at The Wilderness Club. For more info please go to the Devon County Council website or www.totneslearningcommunity.com. Alternatively contact your local school for more info.

- There will be a mentoring scheme that will be offered to children who participate in more than one term.
- Each term will build on previous activities and skills and offer returning children an additional skill-base with further challenges, both fun and educational.
Activities will range from:
- Making fire
- Building a bench
- Bushcraft
- Shelter building
- Secret missions
- Making friends
- Using tools
- Cooking on fire
- Story telling
The days will run between 10am and 3pm.
I co-run The Wilderness Club with Nick Love of Campcraft Skills (see links page for his website). He is a wonderful mentor for children, passionate and experienced about his work, and most importantly, great fun to be around!
I am also available to teach Forest School for both children, teenagers and adults and hold:
- Forest School Practitioners Award Level 3.
- Two-day Outdoor first aid certificate
- Current CRB check.
- Private insurance for children aged 8 upwards.
"Each of us needs to withdraw from the cares which will not withdraw from us. We need hours of aimless wandering or spates of time sitting on park benches observing the mysterious world of ants and the canopy of treetops"
